An unknown person has made off with the Lyndeborough Police Department’s radar speed sign.
On Wednesday morning, at about 11:14 a.m., Lyndeborough Police Chief Rainsford Deware was on patrol, and saw the sign missing from it’s location secured to a pole on the 2nd New Hampshire Turnpike, just east of the intersection of Sharp Road.
Deware had erected the sing on Monday, April 20, at about 10:19 a.m. The sign was secured to a plastic black vertical mounting bar and was locked with a gun lock.
Whomever took the sign had taken the entire setup, including the mounting bar and pole straps, from the sign post.
The sign is the property of the town of Lyndeborough, and is an EVOLIS Radar speed sign.
