Following guidance from the Unitarian Universalist Association, along with recommendations from national and global health experts, and examples set by other congregations and leaders of other faith traditions, Peterborough Unitarian Universalist Church is immediately suspending all in-person worship, events, and meetings in its church building and office, affecting both our community and all outside groups, including paid rentals. This includes the free Community Supper held on Wednesday evenings.

Closing our building does not mean closing our community. As many of our activities as possible will be provided online. Worship, religious education and meetings will be taking place online. Signs will be posted on the building doors and on the permanent outdoor signs, directing people to visit our website to learn how to attend worship or for more information.

PUUC anticipates that this closure to continue at least until the end of March.

In a letter to the Congregation, Reverend Diana McLean said, “We will come through this, as a community, together. We will do a lot of learning in the coming weeks, and when we come back together again, we will be a community changed by this experience. Things are going to be tricky, but not impossible. We look forward to seeing you online in worship and other activities and look forward to the time when we can again join together in person.”
