To the editor:

On March 10, New Ipswich voters will go to the polls and be asked to support our total service-connected disabled veterans.

Warrant Article 13 asks voters to increase the tax credit for these veterans from $2000 to $4000 as authorized by RSA 72:35. The article will affect 18 veterans in town that have been determined to be 100 percentย service-disabled by the Veterans Administration.

Veterans who have suffered in wars, and then struggled to provide for families. One such individual had a bullet go through his cheek on one side, out the other and into his arm. This bullet caused blindness in oneย eye, disfigurement and an arm that doesnโ€™t work quite right. He never complains, he was just โ€œdoing his job.โ€

New Ipswich was the first town in New Hampshire to be designated a

โ€œPurple Heart Town.โ€ Please support our total service-connected disabled veterans! Vote YES on Article 13, a small price to pay for their dedication and sacrifice for our country and our town.
