To the editor:
On March 10, New Ipswich voters will go to the polls and be asked to support our total service-connected disabled veterans.
Warrant Article 13 asks voters to increase the tax credit for these veterans from $2000 to $4000 as authorized by RSA 72:35. The article will affect 18 veterans in town that have been determined to be 100 percentย service-disabled by the Veterans Administration.
Veterans who have suffered in wars, and then struggled to provide for families. One such individual had a bullet go through his cheek on one side, out the other and into his arm. This bullet caused blindness in oneย eye, disfigurement and an arm that doesnโt work quite right. He never complains, he was just โdoing his job.โ
New Ipswich was the first town in New Hampshire to be designated a
โPurple Heart Town.โ Please support our total service-connected disabled veterans! Vote YES on Article 13, a small price to pay for their dedication and sacrifice for our country and our town.
