A Hillsborough man previously charged with sexual assault in Peterborough has been indicted on 16 felony sex assault charges in the Hillsborough Superior Court North.
George Murrey, 47, allegedly engaged in a pattern of sexual abuse against a minor under 13 years old between Jan. 4, 2011 and Jan. 4, 2016.
Specifically, Murrey is charged with eight counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault – pattern, five counts of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under 13, one count of aggravated felonious sexual assault on a victim under 13 without penetration; all of those charges are special felonies punishable by 25 years in prison. Murrey is also charged with two counts of felonious sexual assault on a victim under 13, which are Class B felonies each punishable by three-and-a-half to seven years in prison and a $4,000 fine.
