To the editor:
Hello, I would like to take a moment to clear up a misperception that was reported in your story about the billing of ambulance service for the town of Temple.
While Wilton Ambulance and EMS Service does in fact service the town of Temple, the contract for that service is with the town of Wilton not Wilton Ambulance and EMS Service and it is not administered by the ambulance service.
We as a department have no say as to the disbursement or allocation of costs. That is handled at the Select Board level.
So please do not think it is the Ambulance service that is responsible for this.
