The monthly DubHub Open Mic, hosted by Volkert Volkersz, will be on Friday, Dec. 27, starting at 7 p.m. Doors open at 6:30.
The open mic no longer has featured performers and no longer uses a PA system, allowing for a more intimate experience. A small amp is available for low-volume electric instruments. Musicians, poets, and other performers, should come prepared to do three songs or 15 minute sets. If there are more than 10 performers, the format will be two songs or 10 minutes, with a “lightning round” until time runs out.
Attendees are encouraged to bring a snack to share and BYOB. Coffee, tea and water will be available. Admission is $5, which benefits the DubHub. Sign up in advance by email at info@dublincommunitycenter.org, or at the door. Performance order will be determined randomly just prior to showtime. The DubHub is located at 1123 Main St. in Dublin.
DubHub open mic is held on the fourth Friday of the month.
