Distraction was an element in a single-car crash on Tuesday morning in Rindge.
At 8:11 a.m., Linda Ducharme, 46, of New Ipswich, was driving on Hunt Hill Road in her Ford Edge when her vehicle left the road, striking a large rock on the side of the road, causing front end damage to her vehicle, according to Rindgeย Police Officer Max Rocheleau.
Rocheleau said Ducharme reported the crash occurredย when her dog was falling off the passenger seat, and she attempted to catch them. During her distraction, the vehicle drifted off the road. Ducharme was the only occupant of the vehicle, and she was not injured.ย
There was moderate damage to the vehicle, Rocheleau said, and it was towed from the scene.ย
