The Park Theatre is temporarily re-opening its River Street Theatre to present continuous free cartoons as part of Team Jaffrey’s Riverfest on Saturday, July 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The River Street Theatre has been temporarily closed in order to serve as the contractor’s office during the construction of The Park Theatre. The build began in January, and the new performing arts center is scheduled to open in 2020.
This event marks the fourth year The Park Theatre has presented free cartoons for children of all ages as part of Riverfest. The free classic cartoons include animation favorites from the 60s and 70s: Felix the Cat, Porky Pig, the Jetsons, Quick Draw McGraw, El Kabong, Space Ghost, Marine Boy, Tweety Bird, Bugs Bunny, Magilla Gorilla, Elmer Fudd, the Flintstones and many more.
Additionally, The Park Theatre will have a table at Riverfest and will be giving out free balloons and candy as well as information about the new theatre. You can also talk to the theatre’s staff about sponsoring a seat in the new main auditorium. You can purchase seats with a credit card or check.
The River Street Theatre’s is at 6 River St. in Jaffrey, just across the street and around the corner from Riverfest. Call (603) 532-9300 for more information.
