ConVal wins three straight
ConVal won a couple of games that went down to the last ups last week and then breathed a little easier with a four-run win on Saturday.
On Wednesday, ConVal went into extra innings tied 1-1 with Pelham before scoring six runs in the top of the eighth to win 7-1.

Mascenic streak snapped
by walkoff
The Vikings’ three-game win streak was snapped Thursday by a walkoff loss at Bishop Brady.
On Wednesday, the Vikings coughed up an early 6-1 leadover Newport but then evened the scored and pulled away for a 12-7 win. Mascenic scored six runs in the first inning and then surrendered six in the second, but kept fighting and won the game.
Blaine Krook (1-3) drove in four runs; Sean Agonis drove in two, and Shea Zina (1-3, 3 SB), Justin Smith and Landon Vaillancourt (1-3) all drove in runs. Jackson Cocozella stole four bases.

WLC needs a statement win
The Warriors continued their trend of beating up on lesser teams and struggling against Division IV’s best last week.
WLC took Farmington down 20-4 on Wednesday. The Tigers went up 3-1 in the top of the third before the Warriors received a good talking-to.
“I kind of reamed out a couple guys, where I don’t usually do that,” said head coach Dave Finch. “Then the floodgates opened.”
The Warriors batted around twice in the bottom of the third and scored 14 runs, and tacked on another five in the fourth inning to put the game on ice.
Troy Brennan (1B, 2B), Sean Brennan (1B, 3B), Neil Brennan (3 1B), Shane Partridge (1B, 2B) and Kyler Tremblay (2 1B) all had multi-hit games for WLC.
Troy Brennan pitched for the win.
Finch said after the game that the Warriors didn’t yet have quality win on the season, and that Saturday’s game against 9-1 Newmarket would be a good litmus test. Unfortunately for Wilton, they didn’t pass the test, as the Mules beat them 13-1.
WLC (10-4) was sixth in Division IV coming into Monday’s game at Concord Christian (5-6). The Warriors conclude the regular season at home Wednesday against Derryfield (4-8).
ConVal wins second
of the spring
ConVal lost to Pelham and Milford last week before bouncing back for a blowout win over Hanover on Saturday.
The Cougars fell 9-2 to Pelham on Wednesday, with Julielle Cabana (1-2, RBI), Taylor Jarest (1-3, 2B, RBI, R) and Hayley Cheviot (1-3, 2B, R) providing the offense.
On Thursday, ConVal was shut out 18-0 by visiting powerhouse Milford. Shannon Allen and Hayley Cheviot had ConVal’s only hits on the day.
The Cougars righted the ship on Saturday, taking it to Hanover on the road with a 21-10 victory, their second of the season.
ConVal (2-9) was in prime position to improve their record Monday against Manchester West (2-10) before playing at Hollis-Brookline (8-6) on Wednesday.
Conant shuts out Trinity
Manea Aho pitched a two-hit shutout with eight strikeouts and a walk against Trinity on Thursday as the Orioles won 6-0.
Manea and Camri Aho were both 2-3 with an RBI, and Madison Picard and Silas Bernier both hit solo home runs. Chelsea Dupuis also drove in a run.
Conant (7-6) had three wins in a row going into Monday’s scheduled game against Fall Mountain (7-8). The Orioles are at Mascenic Tuesday.
Mascenic loses on walkoff
The Vikings had nine straight wins going into Thursday’s game at Bishop Brady, but Halle Laramie’s game-winning inside-the-park home run in the eighth inning put an end to it. Madison Labrie of Mascenic and Jayden Johnson of Brady were locked in a 1-1 putchers’ duel for most of the game before the walkoff gave the Giants a 2-1 win.
The Vikings had beaten Newport on Wednesday 9-0 on a two-hit shutout from Labrie, who struck out a career-high 18 batters in the game.
Mascenic (10-2) hosts Conant Tuesday.
