A Rindge man was taken to the hospital Wednesday morning after crashing his vehicle in Peterborough.

Arthur Brasley, 91, was traveling south on Route 202 near the Jaffrey town line when his 1994 Mercury drifted off the road, Peterborough Police Chief Scott Guinard said Wednesday afternoon.

The Mercury struck a dirt mound on the side of the road, causing extensive damage.

Brasley was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital in Peterborough to be checked for injuries.

Guinard said the crash may have been caused by a medical issue, but he wasn’t sure.

The vehicle was towed from the scene.
