A Leominster man was sent to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after crashing his vehicle in New Ipswich early Monday morning.
Matthew Vaillette, 34, of Leominster, was traveling west on Turnpike Road near the Sharon town line around 1:20 a.m. when he fell asleep at the wheel,ย New Ipswich Police Chief Timothy Carpenter said Tuesday.ย
Vailletteโs vehicle crossed the centerline into the eastbound lane and eventually went off the road. His vehicle came to rest against a group of small trees.ย
Carpenter said there were no indicators to show that Vailletteย was impaired.ย
Vaillette was taken to Monadnock Community Hospital due to his injuries. His vehicle was towed after sustaining extensive front-end damage.ย
