A Greenfield man was med-flighted after a crash in Lyndeborough on Monday afternoon.
Lyndeborough police and fire and the Wilton ambulance responded to a single-vehicle crash near the intersection of Forest Road and Buck Road on Monday around 1:32 p.m., according to a press release issued by Lyndeborough police.
Arthur Ducharme, 79, of Greenfield was driving north on Route 31/Forest Road when his 2016 Kia drifted over the center line, into the southbound lane of travel, and then off the road, striking a tree.
Ducharme was the only person in the vehicle, according to police, and he was treated at the scene for multiple injuries and was transported to the Lyndeborough Town Hall in order to meet the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Advanced Response Team Helicopter in order to be med-flighted to UMASS Medical Center in Worcester, MA.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
The Greenfield Police Department assisted at the scene of the crash.
