A Massachusetts man arrested in September 2016 for robbing TD Bank in Rindge has pleaded guilty to three bank robberies.
Vincent Torraco, 26, of Athol, Massachusetts, pleaded guilty to robbing TD Bank branches in Gardner, Massachusetts on Sept. 16, 2016, in Rindge on Sept. 23, 2016, and in Winchester, Connecticut on Sept. 24, 2016, according to Acting United States Attorney John J. Farley, in a press release sent out Thursday.
In each robbery, Torraco passed a note to the bank teller demanding money. In at least two of the robberies, the notes included warning about including dye packs with the money, according to court documents.
Torraco was identified as the robber in each case through bank security images, which revealed distinctive clothing and physical characteristics. His fingerprint was also on one of the notes he gave to a teller.
Torraco is scheduled to be sentenced on Nov. 13, 2017. He has been detained in North Carolina since he was arrested on Sept. 27, 2016 and will be detained pending his sentence.
