A motorcycle driver crashed on Turnpike Road in New Ipswich attempting to avoid a turning vehicle at around 4:25 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon. The male driver, who was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident, was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital for treatment of injuries. Turnpike Road was down to a single lane for about 20 minutes until the ambulance arrived and the rider was loaded. Police did not release the name or condition of the rider.
