The Vikings didn’t have the toughest opponents on the schedule last week, with winless Hillsboro-Deering and 3-7 Fall Mountain on the slate. Mascenic took advantage, winning both.
The Vikings beat Hillsboro-Deering 87-21, behind 21 for Daimon Gibson and 11 for Brett Stauffeneker. Then on Friday, Mascenic beat Fall Mountain 56-49. In that game, Stauffeneker scored 22 with eight rebounds, Gibson added 19 and Drew Rines 10.
Mascenic (8-3) has won five straight going into tonight’s 6:30 p.m. contest at Monadnock (7-4).
