In November and December, a total of 37.9 tons of marketable recyclables were processed at the Jaffrey Transfer Station.
The material included 20.7 tons of mixed paper, 10.3 tons of cardboard, 3.2 tons of plastics and 1.5 tons of aluminum. These items represent approximately $4,108 in estimated revenue to market.
In addition, 2.4 tons of electronics were accepted for recycling, resulting in a disposal fee avoidance of $205.17.
A total of 32.4 tons of scrap metal was sent to market in November realizing a revenue and avoidance cost of $3,650.
The total savings to the town for the months of November and December is $11,080.
A complete breakdown of materials recycled for 2016 will be included in the 2016 annual report to the town.
