An event celebrating Doris “Granny D” Haddock’s birthday has been rescheduled due to the weather.

The event, originally scheduled for today (Tuesday) has been rescheduled to Thursday. The event will still be held at noon at the Dublin Community Center at 1123 Main St. in Dublin.

Granny D, born on Jan. 24, 1910, rose to fame after walking across the United States when she was 90 to support campaign finance reform.

There will be a potluck luncheon (please bring a small dish to share) and remembrances of Granny D’s walks and others, organized by the NH Rebellion, that her friends and supporters have undertaken in her memory.

The event is co-sponsored by Open Democracy, New Hampshire Rebellion, and PACE: Promoting Active Civic Engagement.
