The Mascenic swim team finished second, behind Lebanon, in a meet Friday at Stevens High School in Claremont..
Mascenic competed against Stevens, Lebanon, Kearsarge and Merrimack Valley. Several Mascenic swimmers had great swims and lowered their times.
Junior Todd Rust had a great night qualifying for the state meet in the Individual Medley (IM) with a time of 2:31.68. He also was 2nd in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:18.85 (less than 1 second off the state qualifying time of 1:17.99). Rust has already qualified for the state meet in the 500 Freestyle and is less than 1 second from qualifying in the 100 Breaststroke
Sophomore Britany Boulerice also had a great night with a 1st Place finish in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:24.51 (less than 3 seconds off the state qualifying time of 1:22.99). She also placed 2nd in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 2:27.82.
