SUNDAY, JAN. 1

Accident: At 4:30 a.m., police responded to a single-vehicle accident on Forristall Road involving a 2012 Hyundai Accent driven by Kara Yashida, 25, of Leominster, Massachusetts. Police found the car in a ditch on the southbound side of the road. Yashida said she had lost control of the car due to icy road conditions. The car was pulled from the ditch and driven away. No injuries were reported. 

MONDAY, JAN. 2

Domestic disturbance: At 8:15 a.m., police mediated a matter in reference to child custody. The people involved were separated. 

Manner of operation: At 6:30 p.m., police received a manner of operation complaint on Route 202. Police located the vehicle and did not note any irregular operation. 

TUESDAY, JAN. 3

Accident: At 7:05 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident at the Route 202 and 119 intersection involving a 2013 Dodge Ram truck driven by Andre Berube, 24, of Winchendon, Massachusetts, and a 2008 Buick Enclave driven by Donna Lafarier, 59, of Rindge. Berube said he slid into the Buick at the intersection and then again in the parking lot of the Hometown Irving. The Buick sustained damage to the hatchback door. The truck had no damage of note due to the truck having a plow attached. There were no injuries. 

Accident: At 7:30 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident in the Hometown Irving parking lot, where a vehicle driven by Hayley Donaway, 20, of Winchendon, Massachusetts, hit another vehicle in the lot. Airbags were deployed in Donaway’s vehicle, but the other vehicle only had a scratched bumper. There were no injuries.

Manner of operation: At 3:05 p.m., police received a manner of operation complaint on Route 202. The vehicle was not located. 

Loitering: At 8:50 p.m., police responded to Hometown Irving for a loitering complaint. The people involved were moved along. 

WEDNESDAY, JAN. 4

Fraudulent activity: At 10:30 a.m., police took a report of an attempted phone and check scam at Payson Village Senior Housing.

Agency assist: At 9:30 a.m., police assisted U.S. marshals with the apprehension of a person in town. 

Manner of operation: At 5:55 p.m., police responded to a manner of operation complaint at Honey Farms. Police located the vehicle and spoke with the driver. The driver was not impaired. 

FRIDAY, JAN. 6

Accident: At 7:30 a.m., police responded to a single vehicle accident on Route 119 near Meadow View Road involving a 2015 Volkswagen Golf driven by Jillian Jones, 36, of Fitzwilliam. Jones attempted to turn onto Meadow View Road and the car slid into a snowbank. Jones said she was uninjured. The car  was pulled from the snowbank and driven away.  

Accident: At 8:30 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle accident on Route 202 involving a 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Tammy Macgown, 44, of Jaffrey and a 2010 Ford Fusion driven by MacKayla Baird, 26, of Hillsborough. Neither driver was injured; the vehicles were towed. 

Manner of operation: At 4:45 p.m., police responded to a manner of operation complaint on Middle Winchendon Road. Police located the vehicle and spoke to the owner. 

SUNDAY, JAN. 8

Accident: At 1:59 p.m., police responded to an accident in the Walmart parking lot involving a 2011 Jeep Compass driven by Angela Eldridge, 31, of Jaffrey and a 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Jordan Manuel, 18, of Winchendon, Massachusetts. There were no injuries and the vehicles were driven away.
