NEW IPSWICH
FRIDAY, DEC. 30
Accident: At 10:29 a.m., police responded to an accident involving a vehicle and tractor trailer in the area of Turnpike Road and Sharon Road. State police and the Fire Department handled emergency response, and reported at least one injury.
Accident: At 10:45 a.m., a second motor-vehicle accident occurred in the area of the earlier accident. This one involved a police cruiser. State police investigated.
Accident: At 12:39 p.m., a passerby reported a vehicle off the road by Temple Road. The vehicle was towed after a mutual aid response from the Temple-Greenville Police Department. New Ipswich police wereย at the scene of other accidents.
Accident: At 2:22 p.m., a resident reported that his wife had driven off of Timbertop Road earlier that day, but was not injured. Police went to the scene to take a report and the vehicle was towed.
Road hazard: At 7:34 p.m., police received a report of a branch hanging low across Old Country Road. It was frozen to the ground and the Department of Public works was called to remove it.
SATURDAY, DEC. 31
Shots fired: At 4:17 p.m., aย walker on Taylor Road reported hearingย heard gun shots coming from the area of a Page Hill Road property. Police responded but heard no shots in the area.
Accident: At 7:38 p.m., police were alerted to a single-vehicle rollover accident on Turnpike Road. The vehicle was towed and the driver was transported to Monadnock Community Hospital.
Accident: At 11:30 p.m., a vehicle was drivenย into a snowbank off Ashby Road. It hadย moderate damage and was towed.
Accident: At 11:55 p.m., police were notified of a non-reportable accident on Turnpike Road in which a vehicle went off the road onto Mascenic Hill. Police saw the tire tracks but the car was gone on arrival.
SUNDAY, JAN. 1
Arrest: At 12:52 a.m., followig a report of a domestic dispute on Ashby Road, police arrested Elizabeth McLain, 19, of New Ipswich and charged her with domestic violence simple assault. She was released on $1,000 personal recognizance with a court date of Jan. 3.
Accident: At 3:45 a.m., police took a report of a single-vehicle accident where aย car went into aย snowbank off Boynton Hill Road. The car was towed.
Burglary: At 5:40 a.m., New Hampshire State Police responded to a business alarm at Hoppyโs Country Store on Turnpike Road, and a break-in was detected with items missing. New Ipswich police areย handling the investigation.
Accident: At 1:34 p.m., dispatch reported three vehicles off the road near River Road. Officers noted poor road conditions, which all three drivers cited as a factor in their accidents. One vehicle was seriously damaged and towed, while the other two were driven away. The road remained closed until the Department of Public Works treated it.
MONDAY, JAN. 2
Arrest: At 12:45 p.m., a juvenile boy was arrested and charged with domestic violence after his girlfriendย called the police, saying she had been in a fight with her boyfriendย and he was destroying everything in her Ashby Road house. The boyย was released into his motherโs custody.
WEDNESDAY, JAN. 4
Suspicious person: At 12:45 p.m., a West Binney Hill Road resident said an insurance adjuster came into the home to take photos for a new policy, but that the insurance company later said no such official had been sent.
