The ConVal girls’ alpine ski team landed two in the top ten on Thursday, while Wilton-Lyndeborough’s Ian Van Ham was the top local finisher on the boys’ side.
Newcomer Marina McMahon, a freshman, came in 8th in the girls’ race, in 1:58.88. Right behind her was sophomore Jaclyn Clark, who took 9th in 2:02.22.

Stephanie Menard of Hollis-Brookline won the girls’ race in 1:37.57.
On the boys’ side, Ian Van Ham of WLC took 11th overall, finishing in 1:46.32. ConVal’s Keenan Wilson was the top Cougar finisher, taking 13th in 1:48.44. ConVal was plagued by crashes on the day, but the remainder of Cougar finishers included:

Souhegan’s Andrew Taylor won in 1:35.06.
ConVal star Eli Tamok is nursing an injury and sat the meet out.
The girls’ team placed third overall, while the boys finished in fifth.
ConVal returns to action on Thursday for another meet at Crotched Mountain. Start time is 3:30 p.m.
