Ballroom dancing is more popular now than ever, thanks to shows like “Dancing With The Stars” and “So You Think You Can Dance.”
Instructor Rich Clough will teach foxtrot, cha cha, tango, waltz, rhumba and swing dancing to those 16 and older in a series of classes sponsored by the Peterborough Recreation Department.
The next session runs on Tuesdays, from Jan. 3 to Feb. 7. Beginner classes will be from 6 to 7 p.m. and intermediate classes from 7 to 8 p.m.
No partner is necessary. Classes will be held at Studio 9247, Peterborough, located on Rte 202 next door to Belletete’s and across the street from Brady’s American Grill.
The cost is $53 for a single resident of Peterborough, $93 for a Peterborough couple, $68 for a single non-resident, $113 for a non-resident couple.
Dancers should wear comfortable clothes and shoes with non-grip soles.
