To the editor:
The recent discussion about the Route 101/Old Street Road/Route 123 intersection should include one point, and that would be not to put in a traffic light with stopping on 101. A flashing yellow light to slow traffic coming down 101 would certainly help. To try and stop big trucks going down and up 101 would be a disaster, especially in the winter.
The new small radar dectors that flash your speed are certainly effective and would help, I think. Dublin has one and it is very noticable.
Certainly, improvements are needed. But it’s on a hill and stopping Route 101 traffic there would make things a lot worse in very short order.
