The 43rd Annual Christmas Bird Count will be held Saturday, Dec. 17 for Hancock, Peterborough, and surrounding towns.
Begun locally in 1973, and compiled by Peterborough resident Dave Rowell for the 24th straight year, the Christmas Bird Count is the world’s oldest and largest biological survey and citizen science endeavor, with thousands of participants worldwide.
