Freshman forward James Morrissey of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Goaltender of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 27, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office.

In a 1-2-0 week for the Ravens, Morrissey tallied two points on a goal and an assist. In a loss on Saturday at Trinity, he provided an assist on a first-period power-play goal by Kyle Gosselin. On Sunday, Morrissey put home a power-play goal of his own, in the second period of a loss at Wesleyan.

On the season, Morrissey has tallied 1-4-5 through his first nine collegiate games. He has scored one power-play goal and picked up four penalties totaling 16 minutes along the way.

The Ravens return to the ice on Saturday, Dec. 3, when they return home to host Fitchburg State in a non-conference contest. Opening faceoff is set for 7:30 p.m. at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in Winchendon, Mass.
