WOMEN’S BOWLINGFPU program gets best-ever ranking

The Franklin Pierce women’s bowling team was selected 17th in the National Tenpin Coaches Association 2016 November National Poll it was announced Wednesday.

The Ravens were picked 17th and earned 282 points. This is the Crimson and Grey’s first national selection since being ranked no. 24 last December and the highest ranking in program history.

Currently, the Ravens are atop the East Coast Conference Standings with a 26-16 (.619) record and have gone 12-12 (.500) against nationally-ranked opponents including their signature win of the season, a 1,015-900 decision during the Hawk Classic versus defending national champion and previously no. 2 ranked Stephen F. Austin.

The Ravens return to action in the New Year when they travel back to Kutztown for the KU Invitational on Jan. 20.
