Junior forward Alex Brolsma of the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team has been named New England Hockey Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on Nov. 20, as announced on Monday afternoon by the Conference office. Brolsma had a banner weekend, leading the way offensively as the Ravens collected a pair of 11-0, non-conference victories on the road at Post, as she piled up nine points on three goals and six assists. On Friday afternoon, she contributed a goal and an assist. Brolsma’s real heavy lifting came on Saturday, when she tallied a program record seven points, by matching a school record with five assists and adding two goals as well.
On the season, Brolsma leads the Ravens in scoring with 8-10-18 through eight games. She has collected 10 penalty minutes on five infractions along the way.
