The Grapevine Family & Community Resource Center and The River Center are co-sponsoring an upcoming series on internet safety for parents. The first program will be held on Dec. 1 from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the Avenue A Teen & Community Center at 42 Main Street in Antrim.
In the first session of this multi-part series, panelists will cover the topics of social media awareness and safety, technical upgrades in the home to monitor internet use, internet “contracts” for parents and children and communicating with children while setting appropriate boundaries.
This first program is geared toward parents of 9- to 14-year-olds, though the information can be widely applied to children of all age ranges.
