A “Mostly Mozart” concert featuring the Swiss-Italian pianist Olivier Cavé will be presented at the First Church in Jaffrey on Sunday, Nov. 13, at 4 p.m.
This will be the season finale for Electric Earth Concerts’ 2016 series.
Cavé, a Swiss pianist with Neapolitan roots, is well known in Europe as an elegant interpreter of the baroque and classical periods. His recordings have received the highest ratings in CD review journals around the world.
The program will begin with Mozart’s late masterpiece for string trio, the Divertimento, K. 563, performed by violinist Gabriela Diaz, violist Jonathan Bagg, and cellist Robert Burkhart.
Cavé then will perform Mozart’s own arrangement of the Piano Concerto in C, K. 415. Violinist Jennifer Elowitch will join the string ensemble to lead the concerto.
The final piece on the program will be a set of solo piano pieces by Franz Joseph Haydn and Domenico Scarlatti.
