The Select Board may look to a warrant article to repair weather damage done to the town hall.
The board looked over the exterior of the building at Monday’s Select Board meeting, noting that much of the paint was chipping off the walls.
“We may need a canopy to address this,” said Selectman Paul Delphia, who noted that damage may be occurring due to how the rain is coming off the building.
Delphia said he would get quotes for repainting and constructing a canopy, so the board can decide about a potential warrant article.
Road agent Brian Barden stopped in to tell the board that the Mud Pond will need some repairs in the near future, as it is leaking. Barden said the town will need someone with knowledge of dams to come in to assess the dam for what specific repairs will be needed.
Barden said he will look at the lights in the parking lot behind the town hall to see if they need new bulbs or some larger repairs.
The board spoke with Fire Chief Tom Vanderbilt who said he had no updates on a potential change in ambulance services for the town. Vanderbilt also said a Charcoal Road hydrant has been replaced.
The Select Board continued to review department budgets in preparation for budget season, looking through the Conservation Commission’s budget, as well as the pages of the budget under Town Administrator Sherry Miller’s control.
The largest looming area for the board to analyze will be salaries, which will come at a later meeting.
