Making important decisions isn’t easy.
And when you are caring for parents or planning for your own golden years, there are many decisions to make and issues to consider when it comes to aging and health.
For the second year, the Monadnock Ledger-Transcript is hosting Vital Signs: Wisdom for Your Life Choices, a daylong event in downtown Peterborough designed to educate and inform attendees on issues of aging.
This event set for Nov. 4 at the Peterborough Town House from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Nutrition, physical changes associated with aging, long term care solutions and other timely topics will be part of the discussion.
The event is free and open to the public. Lunch will be available for $5, courtesy Courville Communities.
Morning sessions include yoga, physical changes you can expect as you age, and a cooking demonstration featuring simple, healthful cooking tips. Afternoon sessions look at more physical aspects of aging, long-term care solutions, and changes in Medicare.
Monadnock Community Hospital of Peterborough is a silver sponsor of the event, and Heywood Hospital in Gardner, Massachusetts, and the Courville Communities of Nashua are bronze sponsors.
Exhibitors include Bankers Life, Cheshire Medical Center / Dartmouth-Hitchcock Keene, Talon RS, Jellison’s Funeral Home and Silverstone Senior Living. Attendees can come for an hour or for the day. For more information, go to http://vitalsigns.ledgertranscript.com.
