To the editor:
Our Congress has been so derelict in its duties that we can assume that most everyone is upset, even angry. Some are so angry they want severe change. But this change they are supporting could take us from the frying pan into the fire.
A dictator – yes I said dictator – is not the solution. Trump, who historically hasn’t kept his promises, uses lies easily, wants to turn our government upside down and inside out, has turned away his own party and likes war, is not going to keep our democracy intact, never mind keep us safe. Quote: He alone knows how to fix things, he knows more than the generals, and everyone who tells us what he’s done is a liar. Unquote. All of this would surely, at the very least, leave us out in the cold and threaten the whole world.
Trump’s running mate is no better. Pence’s demeanor is covering up much. He’s a Koch poster boy, speaking for them and accepting millions.
We must then, like it or not, support Secretary Clinton as Sen. Bernie Sanders is asking us all to do. She is well versed in how our government runs, has world-wide connections, and is backing many of Sen. Sanders’ ideas. But she must have a Democratic Senate so the work of running this country starts up again. And I will go a step further and say in New Hampshire we also need more Democrats so our federal and state benefits won’t be taken away from us.
So vote – vote for Democrats.
