WOMEN’S SOCCER Guinn gets a win for Daniel Webster

A natural hat trick from rookie Bailey Guinn within the span of just over 11 minutes late in the second half propelled host Daniel Webster past Wheelock, 3-0.

Guinn’s trifecta marked the first hat trick for an Eagle freshman since 2006 as DWC picked up its first victory of the season improving to 1-10 (1-4 NECC).

Guinn, a Greenfield resident, is a graduate of ConVal High School.

Guinn broke the scoreless tie at the 70:23 mark with an unassisted breakaway tally and then iced the game, scoring twice in a span of 34 seconds.

Guinn would net her second with 8:57 remaining taking an Amanda Dargie pass up the middle and converting on another breakaway and picked up her final score with 8:23 to go with a high arching shot that caught the top right corner off a Sydney Delforte pass.
