The ConVal girls’ volleyball team had no problem dispatching Manchester West on Friday night, as they swept their opponent — a common theme over the Cougars’ homecoming weekend. The volleyball team joined the cross-country, field hockey, unified soccer, girls’ and boys soccer and all the junior varsity teams as ConVal won every contest they took part in as part of homecoming.
The Cougars beat West in straight sets, 25-14, 25-20 and 25-21.
ConVal senior captain Aidan Dissinger led the way as always for the Cougars, with 18 digs, 9 kills and 2 aces.
Joanna Adams made 7 digs and 14 assists, Gwen Jones made 4 aces and 8 digs, Michele Hartwell made 10 digs and 3 aces, Mary Grossi made 22 digs and 3 aces and Emma Golden tallied 3 kills and a block.
Earlier in the week, ConVal lost to Souhegan, 3-0. Aidan Dissinger had 8 kills and 23 digs, Joanna Adams made 12 assists, and Michele Hartwell got an ace, 8 successful serve receives and 9 digs. Gwen Jones also had 6 digs and 5 successful serve receives.
ConVal (6-8) travels to Milford (9-4) Wednesday at 5:45 p.m. before hosting Hanover (3-10) on Senior Night, Friday at 5:45 p.m.
