The ConVal girls’ soccer team continued the Cougars’ homecoming sweep on Saturday by beating Conant 5-2. ConVal scored the first four goals to jump out to a commanding halftime lead. Jordan Kania and Sammy Yeaw played stellar on defense.
Sylvie Holding scored twice for ConVal and made an assist; Isabel Wilder, Natasha Kipka and Brooke Ellis each scored once, and Ellis, Emma Hixson and Gracyn Mose also added assists.
Siobhan Day and Jillian Patria each scored for Conant.
After a tough year, ConVal (4-10-1) can still make the playoffs; a win at Kearsarge (7-6-1) today at 4 p.m. would go a long way toward that.
Conant (8-6) looks to be a cinch for the DIII playoffs; they played at Stevens Monday night and finish the regular season at home against Monadnock (3-11) Friday at 4 p.m.
