Sophomore James Bisazza of the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 9, as announced on Monday by the Conference office.
Bisazza earned the accolade for his work in Sunday’s non-conference match at Colby. Though the Ravens were defeated, 7-2, Bisazza won both of his matches. At first doubles, he teamed with freshman Yuval Barak to squeak out a 9-8 win over Scott Altmeyer and Zale Shah. Later, at first singles, Bisazza rallied past Cam Hillier, 1-6, 6-4, 10-6.
For Bisazza, it is the second Player of the Week honor of the year.
The Ravens have concluded the fall portion of their 2016-17 schedule and will return to the court in the spring.
