After a shocking 1-0 victory over Southern New Hampshire Wednesday evening, the Franklin Pierce men’s soccer team followed that up with a 2-0 setback at the hands of fellow Northeast-10 opponent the University of New Haven Sunday afternoon. The loss drops the Ravens to 6-2, 4-2 NE-10 and the victory improves UNH to 5-3-1, 2-3-1 NE-10.

The Ravens couldn’t buy a goal on the afternoon as they severely outshot their opponent 20-8 including 16-6 in the second stanza. Franklin Pierce also had two corner kicks to the Chargers zero.

Nate Peduzzi scored both goals for the hosts with the first assisted by Pablo Perez and the second by Rob Poirier.

Jadel Poon-Lewis made three saves in the loss and fell to 6-2. Stefano Lorusso stopped 11 shots in the win and moved to 5-3-1 on the season.

The Ravens return to Sodexo Field on Friday for a 7:00 p.m. conference contest versus Saint Anselm.
