A New Hampshire police department is searching for a Bethlehem woman who was believed to be heading to Jaffrey to visit her children.
Bethlehem police are searching for Tiffany Bellerose, 42, who was last seen on the evening of Sept. 16, according to police.
“There is no update at this time,” said Bethlehem Police Chief Michael Ho-Sing-Loy, in an interview Monday morning.
Ho-Sing-Loy said his department has been in communication with Jaffrey police about the incident, and that a Jaffey been in touch with Bellerose’s family.
“[Bethlehem police] have reached out to us, so we are aware of the situation,” said Jaffrey Police Chief Bill Oswalt.
Bellerose’s daughter, Patricia, of Jaffrey, said the family last heard from from Tiffany over a week ago, when she said she would be traveling to Jaffrey to visit them.
“She said she was going to come this past Wednesday but never came,” said Patricia. Patricia’s sister, Amanda, lives in Jaffrey and her brother, Nick, lives in Francestown.
Patricia said her Facebook post has been shared over 12,000 times, and has been shared in states as far away as Alaska, California, and even parts of Canada.
Patricia said her mother may be with her boyfriend, who had allegedly talked of bringing her to Florida to get her away from her family. Patricia said there have been leads about her mother being in different parts of New Hampshire, including Rindge, but none of the leads have panned out.
Bethlehem police were contacted about Bellerose’s disappearance on Sept. 19 after a friend and co-worker failed to return home and did not show up for work the day before.
“Whether she is missing of her own volition, sheer carelessness, or against her will, she needs to be found,” said Elisha Adams, Tiffany’s sister, in a Facebook post that has been shared 1,887 times as of Monday afternoon. “She has three children who are out of their minds with worry.”
Bellerose is described as 5 feet, two inches and 225 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes, according to a press release. Bellerose is reportedly driving a blue 2000 Dodge Caravan with the NH registration 4007160.
Anyone with information about Bellerose’s whereabouts is encouraged to call the Bethlehem Police Department at 869-5811.
