Jaffrey Library presents “Fiddle Contest”

On Thursday, September 22, “Old Time Rules Will Prevail: The Fiddle Contest in New Hampshire and New England” comes to Jaffrey, presented by Adam Boyce, a 10th generation Vermonter and fiddler in his own right. The program starts at 6:30 and is sponsored by the Friends of the Jaffrey Library with a grant from the New Hampshire Humanities Council. Thanks to the co-sponsor, the Jaffrey Historical Society, the event will be held in the Jaffrey Civic Center on Main Street next door to the Library. A popular New Hampshire Humanities Council speaker, Boyce has studied nearly every aspect of traditional New England dancing and music history.

“Old Time Rules Will Prevail” is free and open to the public.
