Former Temple resident Kirstin Allio will visit the Toadstool Bookshop on Saturday, Sept. 24, at 2 p.m. to discuss her second book.
Through 10 independent but thematically linked stories, “Clothed, Female Figure: Stories” opens a singular investigation of women: mothers, daughters, gardeners, housecleaners, employers, aunts, nannies, friends. Allio conjures women in conflict and on the edge who embrace, battle and transcend their domestic dimensions.
