The Wilton Community Center is pleased to invite area residents to another autumn Farm to Table Dinner on Saturday, Sept. 24 at the Second Congregational Church (corner of Dale and Gregg streets) from 5 to 7 p.m.
This popular fund-raising event helps to sustain the WCC while supporting the community in many ways. This year we have eight local farmers and provisioners who provide the fresh ingredients, and at least two area restaurants that help create the meals from them. Each year, the feast has been made possible due to many, many hours of volunteer effort from Community Center members and friends and family who bake, toss, simmer and stir a mouth-watering five-course meal. The get-together also has an educational component, when the farmers and provisioners talk about their particular operations.
General admission is $30 per adult; $20 for seniors and ages 6-12; and a maximum of $80 for families. Tickets can be purchased at Putnam’s Clothing, or by contacting wiltoncommunitycenter@gmail.com or call 654-6219.
