ConVal was down 1-0 early at Manchester West Tuesday, as the Blue Knights scored a well timed header off a corner kick 10 minutes in. ConVal had trouble with ball control on the old-school Astroturf field.

But they settled down, and by halftime, led 3-1 thanks to Luca Haufler, Micah Black and Max Sturges.

Conval locked in for the secondnd half, passed smoothly and efficiently, and put in two more by Haufler and Nile Hertzler, a rocket from about 30 yards out, top corner.

Another monster game from Aiden Phillips โ€” he and his twin, Ethan โ€” both narrowly missed scoring , and constant pressure in all zones by Hertzler, Jackson Perry, and Matt Kolk.

Solid defense was played by Tim Burgess, Palmer Timmons and Zach Kriebel.

ConVal (5-1) travels to Pelham (0-4-1) on Friday at 4 p.m.
