A New Hampshire man is facing 14 charges from four police departments after he was involved in a police chase from Milford to Jaffrey Friday morning.
Timothy Dobias, 29, whose address was listed as both Nashua and Milford in police reports, was charged in Jaffrey, Wilton, Peterborough, and Milford after leading police on a chase through those towns.
Dobias is facing charges of disobeying an officer, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, driving after revocation or suspension, possession of drugs in a motor vehicle in Jaffrey; disobeying an officer, duty when approaching highway emergency, reckless operation, and two counts of driving after revocation or suspension in Milford; and one count of disobeying an officer and driving after revocation or suspension in both Wilton and Peterborough, according to court documents.
Jaffrey police were notified of Dobias around 7 a.m. on Friday, and joined the police chase in the vicinity of McDonalds on Route 202, according to police reports. Police deployed spike strips in that area, which Dobias avoided. He later stopped his vehicle on Mountain Road near Bullard Road.
Dobias was not speeding, according to a police representative. Dobias cooperated with police when he stopped.
Milford Police Captain Shawn Pelletier said that an officer in Milford had another vehicle stopped when Dobias appeared to swerve at the police cruiser. A chase ensued.
Dobias was arraigned on charges from all four departments on Monday. He was assigned $25,000 cash only bail for the Jaffrey charges, $10,000 cash bail in Milford, and $10,000 cash bail in Peterborough, according to court documents. Dobias is currently residing in the Cheshire County House of Corrections, according to Cheshire County Attorney David Lauren.
