A program titled “French-American Music & Its Cross-Cultures” will be presented at the Marlborough Community House on Sunday, Sept. 25, at 2 p.m.
Guest artist will be Lucie Therrien of Portsmouth, a songwriter, recording artist, film maker and teacher. She is a graduate of the University of New Hampshire, and a four-time recipient of the Traditional Master/Apprentice Award from N.H. Council on the Arts.
Therrien will show how French-American music has developed cultural connections from France to Canada to America and Louisiana.
Hosted by the Marlborough Historical Society, this program is supported by a grant from the NH Humanities.
This event is free and open to all.
