Andy’s Summer Playhouse will close out its 46th season, dubbed “The Summer of Identity,” with its second annual benefit auction on Saturday, Sept. 17.
The event will include a silent auction and entertainment from live performers and musicians to be followed by a live auction. Auction items include fine art, getaways, locally brewed beer and wine, handcrafted items, and much more.
There will be a cash bar as well as hors d’oeuvres.
This auction was originally conceived of last year by then 10-year-old Andy’s Kid, Grace Keller. Keller wanted to help Andy’s raise money and, with the help of her parents, local community members, and the Andy’s board, the first auction was held at the Keller’s barn across from Andy’s. The auction was such a huge success that Andy’s board members decided to keep the tradition alive and hold a second auction in the barn, graciously donated by the Keller family.
The evening will begin at 4 p.m. and is being held across from Andy’s at the Yellow Barn.
General admission tickets are $25 and the ticket cost will go toward purchased items at the auction.
Tickets may be reserved online at www.andyssummerplayhouse.org, by calling 654-2613, or can be purchased at the Toadstool Bookshop in Milford and Peterborough.
