To the editor:
Bringing people who disagree together to work to advance the common good of the community is tough work. In Senate District 9, we have the chance to send someone with a long track record of doing just that to represent us in Concord. His name is Lee Nyquist.
Iโm voting for Lee Nyquist because, as a former selectwoman here in Greenfield, I know that bringing stakeholders who have fundamental disagreements together is tough work. Yet, during the 10years heโs spent as the chair of New Hampshireโs Unemployment Compensation Advisory Council, and the 24 years heโs been New Bostonโs town moderator, Lee has built a long record of doing exactly that. Our next state senator will need the ability to listen and then translate peopleโs concerns into action for the good of the community. Leeโs long track record of doing exactly that is why he has received endorsements from six of the 12 Democratic state representatives who represent the towns of District 9, four town Select Board chairs who come from towns across the district, and Executive Councilor Chris Pappas.
Iย know what it takes to make a commitment to civic duty when I see it. Leeโs hard work for his town and our state government are a testament to his dedication. On Sept. 13 I am voting for Lee Nyquist. I ask you all to join me.
