The Mascenic Vikings couldn’t overcome a slow defensive start against Bishop Brady on Tuesday, with a trio of early goals putting the Green Giants on the path to a 4-1 victory.

“I think we were just stabbing at the ball too much, rather than sliding with the offensive players,” said coach Zach Stephenson.

Senior captain Daimon Gibson scored in the first half, on a nice header, but while he and the team had several more chances to put the ball in the net, the Vikings couldn’t score another goal.

Mascenic (0-2) is off until Tuesday, when they host Fall Mountain (0-2) at 4 p.m.
