To the editor:
In response to “I am in Concord to get things done” by Susan Emerson, published in the Aug. 16 Ledger-Transcript:
There have been no “attacks” and no “smear tactics.” Larry Cleveland actually complimented you in his July 21 letter to to editor, writing that you were “once a great representative.” But your voting history is a matter of public record. You and only you have been responsible for its content. It is, in a sense, your portfolio and it can be used as a totally objective standard for “We the People” to evaluate your performance.
The last time I checked my bank account, there wasn’t a deposit made from the Koch brothers, and I think that statement applies to every Republican I know in Rindge. You would know that if you spent more time talking to us at the monthly Rindge, Jaffrey, Fitzwilliam Republican Committee meetings. I can count on one hand the number of times you have attended. The other good Republican legislators representing Rindge and Fitzwilliam often come: Frank Sterling, Kevin Avard, Andy Sanborn and John Hunt. They keep us posted with knowledgeable information on what is going on in Concord.
Susan, why don’t you let the voters of Fitzwilliam and Rindge decide if we want you to represent us for another two years, instead of clouding this election with the inference that you are somehow being attacked.
You’ll know Sept 13 if you stand a better chance of keeping your parking spot.
Elise Taylor
