The Monadnock Farm and Community Coalition will hold its fall forum on Agricultural Policy and its Effect on NH Dairy Producers on Sept. 28, 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at Stonewall Farm in Keene.
Why care about dairy policy? Dairy farms are the “economic engines” of local farming economies and struggle to survive in the new “local food” movement, according to Lorraine Merrill, commissioner of agriculture in New Hampshire.
