The Greenfield Historical Society Museum will be celebrating the 100th anniversary of the hybridization of the high-bush blueberry on Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon.
The guest speaker will be Roger Swain, well-known author and television celebrity who hosted the Victory Garden program from the mid 1980s to 2001. He will provide a history of the blueberry at 10:30 a.m.
The free celebration will also include several raffles, coffee mugs, cultivated blueberries, honey, blueberry soap, sun catchers and much more for sale and a bake sale, highlighting the delicious, delectable blueberry. Proceeds benefit the Historical Society
The museum is located at 828 Forest Road near the fire station.
